22 blue flags fluttering on beaches in Thessaly.

Of these seven beaches are in the prefecture of Larissa, 10 beaches in the Municipality of Volos, 2 in Southern Pelion, 2 in Skiathos and one in Skopelos.

The blue flags were awarded after satisfying a series criteria related to:

• The quality of bathing waters
• Safety, lifeboats and first aid
• Services and facilities
• Environmental education and information
• Environmental Management
