Metaxohori is very close to Agia Larissa (only 1.5 km away) and is one of the five traditional villages of the prefecture of Larissa. In the village flows the river Amyros while a small stream divides the village into two parts which are connected by a small bridge at the height of the square. The village is characterized by green and lush, but are scattered mansions.
